<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently preventing a separation membrane from clogging through easily, accurately and quickly detecting bacteria causing the clogging prior to the progress of the clogging and conducting an inhibitory treatment for the bacteria on the basis of the detection result, a method for detecting such bacteria for the above method, and a nucleic acid fragment for the detection. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preventing the separation membrane from clogging for separating activated sludge and treatment liquid comprises detecting Rhizobium bacteria and bacteria analogous thereto causing membrane clogging in the activated sludge or membrane deposits by an analytical method targeting 16SrRNA or rDNA having a base sequence of Sequence No.1 or a base sequence with ≥90% homology therewith and then conducting an inhibitory treatment for the bacteria thus detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
