<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license distribution method, and a license distribution system which positively carries out sales/purchase of a license. <P>SOLUTION: When a purchase request of the license for viewing a digital content is received from a client terminal via a network, the purchase request of the license is received by a reception counter terminal of a store server, and a first stage of a settlement process is carried out by the reception counter terminal.
