<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for treating oil and fat in oil-containing waste water which permits efficient biological decomposition of the oil and fat and makes it possible to follow up the fluctuation of load with the waste water and perform the decomposition by allowing a means that separates the oil and fat in an oil and fat floatation separation tank and feeds the same to an oil and fat decomposition tank to be operated efficiently and stably, in the biological treatment of the oil and fat in the oil-containing waste water. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus and the method for treating the oil and fat in the oil-containing waste water is provided with the oil and fat floatation separation tank for subjecting the oil and fat in the oil-containing waste water to floatation separation and concentrating the oil and fat, the oil and fat decomposition tank for decomposing the concentrated oil and fat by means of biological operation of microorganisms and, further, an oil and fat adsorption and separation means for adsorbing the oil and fat which is concentrated and separated in the oil and fat floatation separation tank by means of an oil and fat adsorbent having the oil and fat adsorptivity and feeding the same to the oil and fat decomposition tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
