PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic steering device capable of securing appropriate collapse stroke. SOLUTION: A limiting member 34 is tilted by a link member 33 interlocking with an operation lever 20, a limiting part 34 at its upper end is drawn into an opening 21g of an outer jacket 21, and it does not abut on an inner column 11. Therefore, the inner column 11 can move without colliding with the limiting part 34 even when a secondary collision arises, so that load received by a driver can be reduced. When the operation lever 20 is loosened, the limiting member 34 stands upright, the limiting part 34 at the upper end projects inward from the opening 21g of the outer jacket 21, and hence the inner column 11 can abut. Therefore, the inner column 11 is pressed onto an outer jacket 21 side in telescopic adjustment, the end abuts on the limiting part 34a and works as a telescopic stopper for preventing further displacement in the extension direction.
