PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly identify a resin material including a specific component (flame retarder or flame resisting auxiliary), without carrying out pretreatments such as, for example, paint separation, vacuuming and the like. SOLUTION: In the method, the resin material is irradiated with radiation, and the radiation diffracted by the resin material is measured, thereby obtaining a diffraction pattern. The diffraction pattern is compared with that of an object component to be analyzed which is, for example, the flame retarder or the flame resisting auxiliary and which is prepared beforehand, and a judgement is made whether or not the component is included in the resin material.
