PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for inhibiting adhesion of Staphylococcus aureus to skin. SOLUTION: This agent for inhibiting the adhesion of Staphylococcus aureus to the skin contains a glucooligosaccharide as an active component. This invention further includes a skin care preparation for external use and a skin cosmetic each for inhibiting the adhesion of Staphylococcus aureus and containing the glucooligosaccharide as an active component.
