PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass cutting device without any possibility of erroneously touching a sawing edge by a worker at a non-working time. SOLUTION: The glass cutting device 1 has the sawing edge 40 attached to the tip part of a spindle 26 supported freely rotatably. The upper part of the sawing edge 40 is covered with an upper part cover and a part of the sawing edge 40 which is protoruded downward from the lower part of the upper cover is covered with a safety cover 60 supported to freely rock through a 2nd ball bearing 61 mounted on the outer periphery of the bearing case 25. A seal cover member 73 is provided on a fixing member 42 between the bearing case 25 and the sawing edge 40. The tip part of the seal cover member 73 extends to a position near the outside of the outer periphery of a seal member 70 and the seal member 70 in the sawing edge side is covered with the seal cover member 73.
