PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide screw-type fluid machinery and a method for manufacturing a screw rotor thereof for a highly efficient operation of screw-type machinery, particularly a pump, etc. contributing to energy saving and also to global environmental protection. SOLUTION: In the screw-type fluid machinery, axial flow rotors 3, 3 having spiral parts 2 formed respectively on the peripheries are rotatably provided in a case 1. In the center or thereabout of the outside periphery of the case, an inlet 4 for the fluid W to flow into the inside and a discharge port 5 are provided. As for the spiral part 2 of the rotor formed symmetrically on the outside periphery of the rotor with the phase in the right and left spiral-parts displaced by 180°on the basis of the discharge port 5. The fluid W is allowed to flow from the inlet dividedly right and left into the inside of the case, and is converged in the center to pass through the spiral groove 2a and discharged to the outside from the discharge port 5.
