PURPOSE: A direct type back light is provided to prevent a lamp from sagging by allowing the lamp to have a long size with a large sized LCD, thereby improving luminance. CONSTITUTION: A direct type back light includes a plurality of lamps(40) irradiating light into a lower portion of an LCD panel(100) that displays images, a bottom cover(30) in which the lamps are arranged in parallel, a reflecting plate(70) provided below the lamps, reflecting light emitted from the lamps upon the LCD panel, an optical sheet(50) arranged on the upper portion of the lamps, and a plurality of lamp guides(300) provided on the reflecting plate, receiving and fixing the lamps and each having an open portion with a diameter smaller than that of each lamp to receive the lamp.
