<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine management system wherein a copying machine is managed from a host computer at a management point side via a public line that can reduce a down-time of the copying machine and effectively utilize the copying machine even when a fault takes place in the copying machine. <P>SOLUTION: When a fault takes place in part of a plurality of image input output means of the copying machine, a copy information management apparatus transmits detailed fault information of the copying machine to the host computer at the management point side, the management point analyzes the data and transmits combined data of operations of a normal image input output device to the copying machine.
