<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize, without increasing circuit scale, a 1394 LSI which can effectively protect copyright on digital AV content data on a 1394 bus even when connected with radio communication equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The data inputted into a first input/output interface 106a is deciphered by a first ciphering/deciphering means 103a, re-ciphered by a second ciphering/deciphering means 103b, and transmitted, for example, to a 1394 network (shown by a data transmission route 151a).
