PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus which is provided with a mechanism to absorb a load applied thereto due to an external impact and is suitable for mounting into a vehicle, and which can further absorb the load applied with external impact without giving any restriction for design to a knob 4. SOLUTION: A supporting portion 1a is provided to a chassis 1 to support a printed circuit board 2, and a substrate opening portion 2a is provided to the area near the supporting portion 1a to the printed circuit board 2. When a load F is applied to the knob 4 as illustrated in Fig. (b), the printed circuit board 2 is broken from the substrate opening 2a with this load F, and is separated from the supporting portion 1a, resulting in the condition of Fig. (c).
