PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric component holder which can respond to a change in thickness of an installation plate without changing its height from the surface of the installation plate. SOLUTION: The electric component holder comprises a holding means for holding an electric component, and an engagement leg which is formed as the integral part of the holding means and fixes the holding means to the installation plate. The engagement leg has a means which moves up and down in the thickness direction of the installation plate. The electronic component holder is also equipped with a stopper which prevents the slipping-out of the engagement leg by locking it in an installation hole which is formed through the installation plate in advance, and an engagement step which engages with the installation hole in such a manner that it may not slip out of the installation hole.
