PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen an air curtain formed at a front opening of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: This refrigerator is provided with a cross flow fan 12 so as to blow off downwards cold air 6 fed from backward through an upper duct 11 at a portion of a cool air blowing-off opening 7 and is cooled to a prescribed temperature by a cooler 4. Part of the cool air 6 carried by a blowing fan 5 enters an upper duct 10 and is blown off downwards by the cross flow fan 12, and the air curtain 8 of cool air is formed uniformly in the width direction at the front opening 3 of the refrigerator 2.
