PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently realize miniaturization and to facilitate a work for solving clogging of a medium to be recorded in an image formation device provided with an image reading means for reading an image of a manuscript and an image forming means for forming the image on the recording medium such as a recording paper. SOLUTION: In a facsimile device 1, since a manuscript tray 63 is vertically superposed with a discharge part 7 discharged with the recording paper 5 after image formation, a feed roller 11 and a part of a panel cover 54 and constitutes a part of a box body, miniaturization can be extremely sufficiently realized. Whereas, therefore the discharge part 7 becomes relatively narrow but even if the recording paper 5 is provisionally clogged at this part, the work for solving the clogging can be facilitated by drawing apart the manuscript tray 63 and a manuscript guide interlocking mechanism 65 from the discharge part 7 since the manuscript tray 63 can be pivoted with a pivot shaft 67 as a center.
