PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch for recognizing tank information for enabling the comprehensive recognition of the tank information when a fitment for a bung hole and a fitment on a lorry side are connected with each other during an unloading work from the lorry to a tank is performed, and to provide a tank information recognizing system using it. SOLUTION: The switch S for recognizing the tank information is actuated by connecting the fitment 9 for the bung hole of the tank with the fitment 11 on the lorry side, and transmits an output signal for recognizing the tank information. The tank information recognizing system is equipped with a tank information recognizing apparatus 13 for recognizing the tank information based on the output signal from the switch S for recognizing the tank information.
