PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always boil the rice deliciously in a rice cooker with optimum rice cooking software for the quantity of rice and of water put in a pot by improving the durability and reliability of a weight measuring means of the rice cooker. SOLUTION: A body 1 of the rice cooker has the weight measuring means 2 for measuring the weight of the body 1 including the pot 3 and a lid 8, etc. The weight measuring means 2 consists of a distortive body 10 with a distortion gauge 24, a support plate 5 for fixing part of the distortive body 10, and a weight transmitting plate 25 for transmitting the weight of the body 1. The body 1 also has a stopper whose distance of movement is shorter than the distance movement of the body 1 when at least the distortive body 10 is deformed maximally in a region of elasticity.
