PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type disposable diaper which can reduce the uneasiness felt by the user as much as possible while allowing the specifying of the front or back in the way of the body before wearing. SOLUTION: A tab 20 is so arranged as to be extended to the side of the user between an elastic member 6 for the waist and elastic members 8 for the leg hole while being joined on at least one of a front belly part P and a rear back part Q at one 1a of both side rim parts 1a and 1a of the front belly part P and the rear back part Q.
