PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to improve the capability according to increase in flow of injection gas, and improve the efficiency of recovering engine heat. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant discharged from a compressor(11) driven according to an engine(61) is circulated through outdoor heat exchangers(15) and indoor heat exchangers(35). Cooling operation and heating operation are executed by heat exchange action of the refrigerant. Bypass lines(51,52) returning refrigerant gas to the compressor are directly and/or indirectly connected with a liquid line(45) moving a liquid refrigerant to the outdoor heat exchangers from the indoor heat exchangers in heating operation. The heat exchangers evaporate the liquid refrigerant sent to the bypass lines, and evaporated refrigerant gas is returned to the compressor.
