<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set for inkjet recording which makes high image density available; can obtain an image free from image bleeding and intercolor bleeding and shows excellent discharge stability, and an inkjet recording method using this ink set. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set for inkjet recording contains water, a coloring material, a water-soluble organic solvent, a polyvalent metallic ion and a chemical compound [chemical compound (A)] of a nature such as to substantially inactivate the polyvalent metallic ion. In addition, the ink set contains ink whose pH value is such that it falls within the range where the polyvalent metallic ion is kept in a state where it is substantially inactivated by the chemical compound (A) and a liquid composition of a pH value such as to substantially activate the polyvalent metallic ion in the ink. The pH value of the ink preferably falls within the range of 8.0 to 12.0 and the pH value of the liquid composition within the range of 4.0 to 7.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
