<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a support for an image recording material which permits the use of a resin hardly formable into latex or an aqueous solution without any restrictions and without the need for a drying process and is good in efficiency and the support for the image recording material which is obtained by the manufacturing method, is little in an after-tack and is excellent in rigidity, smoothness and glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the support for the image recording material includes a first heating pressurization treatment process of subjecting the surface of base paper to first heating pressurization treatment by electrostatically sticking a resin powder composition containing at least a thermoplastic resin thereto, then a second heating pressurization treatment process of subjecting the base paper to second heating pressurization treatment under the conditions of ≥100°C in the surface temperature of metallic rolls and ≥30 kN/m in nip pressure after the first heating pressurization treatment. The form that the first heating pressurization treatment is performed by using a belt fixing device of a cooling exfoliation system having a heating pressurization means, a belt member and a cooling means is preferable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
