<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid reinforcing device for a crossarm employing a reinforcing rod. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of tapping pieces 9 and 9 having intermediate parts facing each other to engage partially are clamped to the intermediate part of a crossarm 2 projecting from a utility pole by means of a connection bolt 10 and a nut 11, and the forward end of a reinforcing rod 6 having the proximal end side fixed to the utility pole above the crossarm 2 is connected to the connection bolt 10. The tapping piece 9 comprises a central part piece 12 consisting of a central part 12a and a pair of side parts 12b and 12b provided oppositely on the opposite sides of the central part 12a, and a clamping part piece 13 provided continuously to the free end of the side part 12b of the central part piece 12 wherein a slit 17 is made in the boundary part of the central part 12a and the side part 12b of the central part piece 12 along the boundary part. The crossarm 2 made of a rectangular tube engages with the central part piece 12 of the tapping piece 9 to touch the side part 12b and the forward end of a reinforcing rod 8 is connected to each connection bolt 10 stretching between the opposing clamping part pieces 13 and 13 of the pair of tapping pieces 9 and 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
