PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving the strength with a comparatively simple structure while applying ordinary side plates. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger having a plurality of stacked tubes 111 connected with a pair of header tanks 120, 130 at their both longitudinal end parts, and two side plates 113 mounted at both outer parts in the stacking direction of the tubes 111 in a state that their U-shaped opening sides face to a non-tube side, comprises a reinforcement part 114 having the U-shaped cross section, having a longitudinal length approximately same as the side plates 113, and joined to at least one of two side plates to form the square-shaped cross section by combination with the side plates.
