PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech input part device that selects a speech inputted in monosyllables and a selection part corresponding to the speech and accurately extracts the speech. SOLUTION: A speech recognition device 1 as an embodiment of the present invention is constituted by arranging a display part 2 which displays candidates for the inputted speech etc., at its upper part, arranging a microphone as a speech input part 3 below the display part 2, and arranging an operation part 4 further below it. The operation part 4 comprises respective operation parts; and respective series are allocated to respective buttons as the operation parts so that a button 101 is for the "a" series, a button 102 is for the "k" series, and a button 103 is for the "s" series, and respective monosyllable dictionary databases having sound models and language models are allocated.
