PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press from which conditions disadvantageous to high-speed operation are removed. SOLUTION: This press contains a frame (12), crankshaft (14) which is rotatably and removably supported by the frame, ascendable and descendible slide (16) which is arranged under the crankshaft, two sets of levers consisting of first levers (18) which are supported removably and swingably around an axis parallel to the axis of the crankshaft by the frame and second levers (20) which are connected to the first levers with first pins (34) parallel to the crankshaft and approximate straight line mechanisms (22) for exerting horizontal force to each first pin to convert the revolving motion of the crankshaft to the vertical motion of the slide.
