DARNING METHOD CHANGING MECHANISM FOR OVERLOCK SEWING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a darning method in a single operation and to make a cutting width constant to a sewing width between the case of curving to the right and the case of curving to the left with respect to a sewn direction. SOLUTION: This darning method changing mechanism for an overlock sewing machine is provided with an adjusting presser foot stitch tongue rotating cam 2 fixed to a cloth feed dial 1; a driving lever 3 swung by the adjusting presser foot stitch tongue rotating cam 2; a driven lever 6 swung by the swing of the driving lever 3; an adjusting presser foot stitch tongue 5 shunting downward with respect to a throat plate 4 in response to the downward swing of the driven lever 6; and an adjusting presser foot stitch tongue rotating base 7 for imparting rotary motion to the adjusting presser foot stitch tongue 5 when shunting the adjusting presser foot stitch tongue 5 downward with respect to the throat plate 4 following the downward swing of the driven lever 6.
