PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checkout counter reducing the physical burden of a salesclerk and shortening the time of register processing. SOLUTION: This checkout counter is provided with a register 2 and a counter table 3 disposed so as to be extended rearward from the side of the register 2. The counter table 3 is provided with a fixed-type first counter table 3A disposed on the side of the register 2, and a second counter table 3B reciprocatingly moving between two positions, or a closed position where the second counter table abuts on or approaches to the rear end of the first counter table 3A and an opening position where the second counter table is moved rearward to form a space part 21 toward the first counter table 3A.
