PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging diagnostic apparatus capable of automatically inserting an X-ray compensation filter at the optimum position at the time of photographing regardless of an X-ray condition or a region to be photographed at the time of photographing to acquire an image useful for diagnosis. SOLUTION: This X-ray imaging diagnostic apparatus is equipped with a photographing start timing control means 11 and an insertion position correcting means 12. The photographing start timing control means 11 is constituted so that the X-ray compensation filter 4 is controlled on the basis of the newest fluoroscopic image data stored in an image memory means 6 when a fluoroscopy completion signal is inputted from a console 10 to allow an X-ray emitting part control means 3 to control the completion of fluoroscopic X-ray irradiation and the start of photographing X-ray irradiation. The insertion position correcting means 12 is constituted so as to allow an inserting position calculating means 7 to receive a correction parameter for adjusting the inserting position of the X-ray compensation filter 4 based on the photographing region data preliminarily inputted from the console 10 or the fluoroscopic X-ray condition determined from a X-ray emitting part 2 at the time of input of the fluoroscopy completion signal from the console 10.
