PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container capable of safely and rapidly taking out living bodies in a container body without damaging these living bodies and controlling best environment in all processes from metamorphosis of living bodies to mature forms thereof, by which healthy raising and rearing of living bodies are maintained and adults having definite qualities are obtained. SOLUTION: The container for raising and rearing and observing animals and plants is composed of a container body 1 and an upper lid 15. The container body 1 is formed of a body 2 and a bottom lid 3 in which spaced and protruded leg frames 9 are provided in outward periphery of a lower surface, and angle of obliquity of the body 2 to the lower surface of the bottom lid 3 is formed to be≤90°and reversed recessed groove 26 is provided on the outward periphery of the upper surface in the upper lid 15 and an aeration control mechanism in which a filter 18 is interposed between a bored fixing plate 16 and a bored moving plate 17 is provided in the upper lid 15 and/or the container body 1.
