PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of seeds A by preventing reduction in detection accuracy in the peripheral area of a pipe by an inexpensive seed sensor 26, for example, in the case of using the pipe as a seed transportation member 25. SOLUTION: In the sowing apparatus with which the seeds A in a seed hopper 4 are transported by air through the seed transportation member 25 to the upper part of a sowing position, the seed sensor 26 for detecting the seeds A moving in the seed transportation member 25 is installed and a diffused light sensor 27 having a narrow light emitting width is used as the seed sensor 26.
