PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire tread improved in roll processability and obtainable at a low cost while exhibiting sufficient strength. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire tread comprises a powder rubber, where the powder rubber has an average particle size of at most 0.3 mm and a maximum particle size of at most 0.8 mm and contains at least 90 mass%, based on the whole powder rubber, of a particle having a particle size of 0.15-0.5 mm.
