PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient stock management by realizing the optimum stock management independent of equipment management classification by automatically processing a stock management portion processed by man power heretofore.

SOLUTION: A stock management apparatus for a communication medium has: an input/output device 112 being a device inputting and outputting various information; an input/output interface section 110 serving as an IF (Interface) for inputting and outputting information and managing the input/output; an information conversion section 106 converting the acquired information into a representative number; and a representative number storage section 105 managing the unique information for the stock management. In addition, the stock management apparatus for the communication medium comprises: a equipment proportional division ratio storage section 101 storing a proportional division value for determining the stock of communication equipment; a stock equipment evaluation section 102 governing a method for determining the stock amount of the communication equipment; a command processing section 103 processing the various information; an information dispensing section 104 dispensing the final representative number information; an output section 108 outputting the final representative number information; and a control section controlling each of the entire functional sections.
