ACTIVE MATRIX TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device capable of suppressing a punch-through voltage or a leak current and realizing excellent display.

SOLUTION: Buffer circuits are provided between output parts of respective scanning signals of a scanning line driving circuit and scanning lines corresponding to the output parts. The buffer circuits are designed in such a manner that rise or fall time of scanning signal waveforms outputted from the buffer circuits is substantially the same as or longer than the rise or fall time of the scanning signal waveforms which are affected by the time constant appearing on the end terminal side of scanning lines when rectangular wave signals are given to the corresponding scanning lines.
