<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel inspecting device for improved efficiency and precision in inspection. <P>SOLUTION: The inspection device inspects a display panel which has pixels in matrix. It comprises a measuring unit 1 composed of a constant current circuit 2 which allows a constant current to flow each electrode, a switch 3 for switching between a low electrode driver circuit 17 and a detection circuit, a switch 5 for switching between a column electrode driver circuit 18 and a detection circuit, a buffer amplifier 10 for amplifying the voltage charged in a distributed capacitance of each electrode, sample holding circuits 12 and 13 for holding and detecting the voltage amplified by the buffer amplifier 10, and an AD conversion circuit 15 for AD-converting voltages of the sample holding circuits 12 and 13 as well as a control circuit for controlling the entire system. By allowing a constant current to flow in the distributed capacitance of a diode 19 formed between electrodes and measuring and judging the voltage; open, short, or normal mode of each electrode of the display panel is judged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
