<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical connector for improving assembling operability and reducing stress on a connector or a flexible board generated by bending them. <P>SOLUTION: A vertical connector 1 has a housing 2 with a contactor 21 fixed thereto; an actuator 3 having a base board insertion port 32 approximately taper-shaped in lateral cross-sectional view; and an inclination holding mechanism 4. A first and a second projection parts 51, 52 are placed on a side face 3a of the actuator 3 and an arm part 42 of the mechanism 4 is interposed between the first and second projection parts 51, 52. Therefore, if the actuator 3 is inclined, the first projection part 51 is abutted on a locking part 43 of the mechanism 4 to restrain an inclination angle of the actuator 3 and insertion work of the base board is facilitated by the inclined actuator 3 and the insertion port 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
