DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRINTING AND ATTACHING MEMORY TAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for printing on a base medium and attaching a memory tag to the base medium.

SOLUTION: The device (10) for attaching a memory tag comprises a print head 16 for use in printing on a base medium and a memory tag dispenser 20 capable of being moved in respect to the base medium 12 and for attaching a memory tag 24 to the base medium. The print head can move in respect to the base medium. In addition, a printing is carried out on the base medium 12 and at the same time the memory tag 14 is attached to the base medium 12. Its method practically comprises the steps of (i) supplying the base medium 12 to pass through the print head 16 along a first axis A1; (ii) printing on the base medium 12; (iii) supplying the base medium 12 to pass through the memory tag dispenser 20; and (iv) moving the memory tag dispenser 20 with respect to the base medium 12 and attaching the memory tag 24 at a desired position of the base medium 12.
