PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pot seedling transplanter ensuring staggered-row planting operation to be performed. SOLUTION: The pot seedling transplanter has the following construction and mechanism: A pair of endless conveyor belts 21 and 22 are set laterally and adjoiningly each other relative to the machine body and turned at the equal speed oppositely to each other, the same number of pot seedlings A(A<SB>1</SB>to A<SB>5</SB>and A<SB>1</SB>to A<SB>5</SB>) arranged at regular pitches p on the respective belts 21 and 22 are allowed to fall simultaneously, conveyed and then discharged via the outside edges successively; wherein the length Y of the conveyor belt 22 is made p/2 longer than the length X of the conveyor belt 21, and the spacing b between an outside wheel 26 and the outermost pot seedling A<SB>1</SB>among the pot seedlings fallen on the conveyor belt 22 is set p/2 larger than the spacing(a) between the outside wheel 26 and the conveyor belt 21 side. Thereby, the conveyor belts 21 and 22 discharge the pot seedlings A via the outside edges in a left-and-right alternate timing manner, and the pot seedlings are discharged onto descending belts 31 and 32 with the help of alternately actuating feed pawls 29 and 30, thus being planted in a staggered-row fashion by a planting device located beneath the descending belts 31 and 32.
