PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferably execute resource management with the variation of resource use. SOLUTION: In order that the status of variation in a resource use rate of a computer system will be monitored and monitoring intervals will be dynamically changed with the resource use rate variation, a plurality of thresholds of the resource use rate to be monitored and collection intervals of the resource use rate for the plurality of respective thresholds are associated and registered in a threshold/collection interval correspondence definition part 104. Threshold monitoring means 106 monitor and decide which of the plurality of thresholds a resource use rate collected by performance information collecting means 105 corresponds to. A collection interval adjusting part 108 adjusts the collection intervals of the performance information collecting means 105 to the collection intervals corresponding to the decided threshold according to the contents of the threshold/collection interval correspondence definition part, so that the resource use rate is collected at the controlled collection intervals.
