PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dissipate heat generated from the display surface of a display outside a protective plate when attaching the protective plate made of a transparent material on the front frame of the display. SOLUTION: The protective plate 3 is made of a transparent material and can be attached to the front frame 2 of the display 1. The protective plate 3 is formed with ventilation grooves 4-9 having concave cross-sectional shape on an abutting surface with the front frame 2. The ventilation grooves 4-9 are formed in the vertical direction in upper and lower parts of the abutting surface with the front frame 2. The periphery of the front surface of the protective plate 3 is treated by printing 10 to cover at least a region where the ventilation grooves are formed.
