METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MASK SUPPORTING FRAME AND COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE EQUIPPED WITH THE MASK SUPPORTING FRAME OBTAINED BY USING THE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a spring member mounting plate (an elastic support mounting plate) after a shadow mask is stretched and held, and accurately mount a spring member (an elastic support). SOLUTION: A mask supporting frame is constituted of a pair of upper and lower first frame constituting members 7 constituting a long side; a pair of right and left second frame constituting members 8 constituting a short side and welded to the first frame constituting members 7 so as to join end parts on the same sides of the pair of first frame constituting members 7; and a spring member mounting plate 26 fixed to the end part side surfaces of the second frame constituting members 8 and on which the spring member is mounted. When the first frame constituting members 7 and the second frame constituting members are joined by welding, welding is conducted so that the spring member mounting plate 26 is fixed.
