PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which does not cause trouble to release operation of a lock arm after a protective wall is installed. SOLUTION: At a female housing 40, a lock arm 55 in a cantilever form is formed along a front and rear direction on the upper face 40A. The lock arm 55 holds a bending space 54 between it and the upper face 40A, and the free end side is made an operation part 58, and locking of both housings 10, 40 can be released by pressing operation thereto. Outside of the lock arm 55, the protective wall 61 is formed along the lock arm 55, and it prevents foreign matters from advancing into the bending space 54. Furthermore, on the rear end side of the protective wall 61, that is, in the sideward of the operation part 58, a broad-width part 62A is installed, and a release operation space when making a pressing operation to press and operate the operation part 58 is secured.
