PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided, which has thin thickness and safety by using a separator excellent in mechanical properties and a separator excellent in electrochemical properties. And the lithium secondary battery is excellent in an electrochemical reliability. CONSTITUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(10) formed by rolling an anode plate(14), a cathode plate(12), and two separators(11)(13) in the form of a jelly-roll, wherein the separator(11) excellent in electrochemical properties is placed on the inside of the anode plate(14) and the separator(13) excellent in mechanical properties is placed in the outside of the anode plate(14); a can which puts the electrode assembly(10) and an electrolyte therein and is connected electrically to the cathode plate(12) or the anode plate(14); a cap assembly which is mounted on the upper part of the can and is connected electrically to the anode plate(14) or the cathode plate(12). |
