PURPOSE: A device and a method for removing a chip inside a hole are provided to effectively remove deposited chips inside a position control pin hole in a connection rod device. CONSTITUTION: At least one magnets(M) have appropriate shapes corresponding to a position control pin hole. A magnetizing unit(24) absorbs a chip(c) by magnetizing the magnets and separates the chip by demagnetizing the magnets. A guide portion(22) moves the magnets into the position control pin hole by supporting the magnets and moves the magnets to a chip separation position. Thereby, the chip inside the position control pin hole is removed quickly and efficiently and the productivity of a connecting rod is increased.
