PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent a polarizer from being wrinkled by maintaining a gap between the polarizer and optical sheets using a gap controller, to thereby improve the yield of the LCD. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a panel assembly(100), a light supply unit(200), a frame(400), and a gap controller(500). The panel assembly receives light and polarizes the received light to display an image. The light supply unit provides light to the panel assembly. A polarizer(310,320) polarizes the light supplied by the light supply unit and provides the polarized light to the panel assembly. The gap controller is combined with the frame and supports the edge of the panel assembly to maintain a gap between the light supply unit and the panel assembly uniform.
