<p>The present invention discloses a method for controlling power of the uplink DPCCH in soft handover in HSDPA system, comprising: when UE enters into the soft handover zone, setting the power offset between HS-DPCCH and R99 uplink DPCCH as default offset of the system; during soft handover, receiving TPCs from each Node B and merging them; if the number of times that the merged TPC is identical to the TPC received from the service Node B (HS-NODEB) exceeds a specified value, setting the power offset between HS-DPCCH and R99 uplink DPCCH as default offset of the system; if the merged TPC is different from the TPC received from the service Node B, increasing the power offset by 1 within the range of maximum allowable power offset; said method enables real-time control of HS-DPCCH transmitting power when UE is in the soft handover zone and reduces effectively mean transmitting power of HS-DPCCH as well as interference to other code channels on the premise of meeting HS-DPCCH error rate criterion.</p> |
