<p>An electronic package (10) includes a first housing member (12), a second housing member (16) engaging the first housing member to form an enclosure, and electronic circuitry (20) located within the enclosure. The electronic package (10) also includes holes (24) provided in the housing, and thread-forming fastener screws (26) for engaging the holes (24) to fasten together the first and second housing members (12 and 16). The electronic package (10) further includes a particle containment pad (30) adjacent to each hole (24) for collecting any particles, such as metal shavings (40), formed during engagement of the fastener screw (26) within the hole (24).</p> |
