One of the slats of the ventilator grille for use in a road vehicle may be used as a monopole (2) forming the radiating and receiving part of the antenna assembly (1). One end of the monopole slat is connected to the central portion of a high-frequency-circuit ballast member (3) at right-angles to it. The ballast member is a flat strip with a flange (4) on the central portion, bent at right-angles to the plane of the strip. A crimped connection (5) to a coaxial feed cable (6) is connected to the junction point.
