In electo-photographic apparatus, the image of the object 3 is focused by lens 2 on to a discharged photo-conductor 7, such that during exposure using visible or X-ray radiation the conductor 7 becomes charged in a pattern according to the optical image. A voltage is then applied across the photo-conductor 7 such that the charge image is transferred to the charge retentive coating 16 of a web 8, the web may be of electrographic paper. The paper is then developed by either liquid or powder toner. |
