Method for the control of a threshing assembly of a harvester

The method involves identifying a distance of a threshing concave from a threshing drum (10) as a threshing gap. A deviation of an actual crop throughput from a nominal crop throughput is determined. The threshing gap is adjusted based on an actual threshing drum rotary speed for reducing crop throughput. Threshing drum rotary speed is adjusted for increasing crop throughput. An independent claim is also included for a combine harvester with a threshing mechanism and a control device for controlling the mechanism.
