A simple venting valve for pneumatic equipment has a housing (2) fitted directly onto the pneumatic equipment and containing a profiled elastic valve element (3) inside an outer clip fastening housing (4). The valve element has a V-shaped sealing profile on a ring shaped body (3) fitted over a stub profile of the mounting housing. A lateral venting hole (1) in the stub profile is normally covered by the V-profile. The inner end of the V-profile has a thin lip (32) and is displaced by positive pressure inside the equipment to uncover the vent hole. The outer side of the V-profile is thicker (31) and locates inside the snap fitting outer housing (4). The valve is normally in the closed setting preventing ingress of dirt, moisture and other contamination.
